Meet Nir Maman, Krav Maga instructor at Revolution MMA & Fitness in Toronto.

Revolution MMA is proud to present Nir Maman as a new instructor for our Toronto and Thornhill Krav Maga courses.  You can now learn with the best here at Rev MMA Toronto, Nir is not only the top Krav Maga instructor in Toronto but all of Canada as well.   Nir Maman has over 30 years of experience in martial arts and unarmed combat.  Nir is experienced in Israeli Krav Maga, Hap Ki Do, WTF Tae Kwon Do and Jeet Kune Do.

The resume of Nir Maman is an impressive one.  Nir Maman has served in the Israeli Special Forces as a lead Counter-Terror Instructor.  During Nir’s service he has held a number of positions, including Commander of the Counter-Terror School’s international training section.  In 2009 Nir was awarded as the Israeli Defense Force Ground Forces Command Soldier of the year.  This award of excellence was presented both for Nir’s service in training counter-terror tactics and his exceptional service in commanding the Counter-Terror School’s international training. 

Nir’s responsibilities included training new recruits of the Israeli Special Force’s Designated Hostage Rescue Units.   Nir trained recruits in all areas of hostage rescue operations in both friendly and hostile environments.  His instructions included, but were not limited to, close-quarters combat, dynamic entry, suicide bomber interception, urban warfare, tactile shooting, and of course Krav Maga.  Nir has trained recruits from all over the world, including United States’ forces that have attended the Israeli Counter-Terror School in preparation of their high risk deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Although Nir now primarily serves as an instructor right here in Canada, he remains active in the Israeli Special Forces Reserves.  Nir returns to Israel several times each year to head up their Counter-Terror training for International Special Forces units.  As an instructor Nir is extremely active, delivering tactical training to military and police units alike all across North America.  Now you can find him right here in Toronto at Revolution MMA & Fitness.
